Meet Jalapeño!
This sweet 10-pound love bug has been an absolute joy to foster. Given the chance, he’ll love his person with his whole heart. Jalapeño came to us after spending over two months at a rural shelter, scared and unsure—earning him his spicy name.

After several months in foster care and lots of exposure to city life, Jalapeño is now ready to find his forever home. He's about 2–3 years old with beautiful cow-like markings and a gentle, affectionate demeanor. While he can be a little standoffish at first, he builds trust quickly with slow, patient introductions.

Jalapeño gets along well with other dogs and especially enjoys playtime with fellow BR foster pups. He’d thrive as a solo companion or alongside another friendly dog. In his foster home, he’s both crate trained and potty trained. He would be happiest in a calm, loving home with adults or respectful children—he does well with kind, gentle kids who understand how to interact with dogs.

He’s treat-motivated, walks nicely on a leash, and is always curious about the world around him!

One thing to know about Jalapeño is that he has a regurgitation issue that is well-managed with daily medication. After visits with vets and specialists, his symptoms have significantly improved, and he’ll likely remain on medication long-term. Luckily, he’s a pro at taking his pills—especially when there’s a pill pocket involved :)
